Weddings in Tipperary 2013

Brides In Tipperary

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. It’s about celebrating your love for each other in front of family and friends. We all want that perfect day with the wedding dress of our dreams, the traditional wedding cake, that old fashioned car to take us to the Church and venue, or even a horse and carriage, wedding reception in a hotel fit for a Queen and her King… the list goes on and on.

Planning your wedding is a very exciting time but with the work and stress involved for you both can some times be a bit much.  These days weddings are not cheap here in Tipperary or any other part of Ireland, on average a wedding costs between 15,000 and 22,000 Euros! Times are hard for many people at this present time and everyone is trying to find ways to cut costs on their wedding day.  But there is always a way to save a little, and no matter how much, it’s a saving.  This doesn’t mean you have to give your guests bread & milk!  It just means you have to ‘think inside and outside the box’. There are lots of ways to keep the cost of your wedding day down.  Just looking around and doing a bit of research could save you hundreds at least. This doesn’t mean your wedding day needs to feel or look like you were skimping, it just means you were price conscience.  A simple wedding dress and even one flower the likes of a single lily can look fantastic and classy – you have often heard the saying less is more!

To help cut the cost with your reception try and set your date to a weekday or out of season (meaning not between the months of May and October) as many reception venues/ Hotels will give you a better deal for your business along with Photographers/ Videographers.  Don’t be afraid to haggle and you will do even better!

Why should you have your wedding day filmed?

Why should you have your wedding day filmed?

1. What might you Miss on the day?

Your videographer will be filming loads of footage around you on your wedding day, often little things that you missed. At Abbey Video Productions we will capture moments that neither of you witnessed. Talk to any bride and groom that have hired us at Abbey Video Productions and they will tell you what a absolute blur their wedding day was, and that they were  thrilled to have a video to help relive all the wonderful moments that they can’t recall.

2. Get it online

In these wonderful times of technology why not have a small clip of your wedding video online and on our Facebook page.  In every family there is some relation or friend abroad at the time of your wedding that can’t make it home for some reason or another that you would like to share a little clip of your wedding day with quickly and easily online.

3. Photos

Photographers  are a real tradition at a wedding and it is fantastic to open your wedding album at any time, but when you make those all important vows and when your parents and bridal party speak about you at your top table nothing but stunning  quality video and audio that we at Abbey Video Productions capture for you can relive those moments.

4. Years down the road

Twenty years or more from now your children can relive your wedding video. Remember, your wedding video is not just for a day, it’s forever – a keepsake for your children’s children.

5. Is it in our budget?

We have heard of so many disappointed couples who did not have a video for their wedding day for one reason or another.  Maybe in the heat of the moment they thought they would not need one, or swapped it for a few extra flowers.  Some couples might get a family member or friend to video bits of their day, but apart from putting pressure on the guest they won’t have the professional equipment and therefore quality  that a professional videographer will have. We at Abbey Video Productions are like our motto: we are Professional, Affordable, Unobtrusive. At the end of the day, it’s one day: YOUR day and I am sure it’s a day you never want to forget.

Wedding Video Upperchurch Tipperary

Wedding Video Upperchurch Tipperary

Saturday is a day that Upper church Tipperary came to life big time, with the fabulous wedding of Deirdre & Brendan,  We at Abbey Video Productions from Cashel In Tipperary made our way the short drive to Deirdre’s home  from the church to capture the excitement of the day with make-up, hair dryers buzzing, and this lovely house in the most scenic area made for great video filming. Next we moved on to thethe Church in the lovely village of Upperchurch, a bright clear blue sky but so cold and crisp made for great video footage, Brendan was along shortly with the lads full of the joys and having a laugh with his guests, Deirdre was fashionably late ( just a little ) but looked fabulous, The Abbey Court Hotel Nenagh was our stop for the evening, where Deirdre and Brendan treated their guests to a wonderful meal, the music for the night was provided by “ Silver Dollar” and they kept the floor full all night. Beast of luck to Deirdre and Brendan

Interesting call !!

We at Abbey Video Productions got an Interesting call from a couple today who priced an other videographer in Tipperary………..  and he proceeded to explain to them  he is a “full time ” bla bla videographer and when questioned on the cost of his basic package he went on to say why he is more expensive because he is Full time and its his only income, and he gives  half a week editing, as if !  ok fair enough he has to make a living, but if you went shopping to Tesco’s/ Dunns stores and they told you that we have to charge you more now because we took on more staff what would you tell them? I know what I would do I would walk out! that’s what this couple who was only pricing this guy did, I have said it many times Wedding video in Tipperary or let it be in Dublin is over priced by the few video guys all the time, then you hear them whinging bookings are down do they wonder ? They told me his prices,   His first package €515 or some thing like that,  we are  400.and give you more ! his second Package is 670 we are 500 his next package  was 870 we are 750 his next package is 915 we are still 750  when you look at both packages on his site both are basic and the same but here he is charging over 100 to stay for an hour !! O yea of course he is offering “Vox Pops” a 3 min guest interview so that’s where your money goes !!  Ok tha’t is my rant over

Kilshaine House

Set in the magnificent rolling countryside of South Tipperary, this large Victorian house is at the end of a half mile long driveway and surrounded by 320 acres of private parkland which includes a trout river and landscaped gardens with some stunning features: great trees, an 1860 palm house, a large walled garden – and a ballroom in an orangerie, where 200 guests can be seated for a gala dinner.

The house has recently been meticulously restored for special events and is now one of Ireland’s most desirable private venues. An impressive high-ceilinged hall with marble columns and beautiful plasterwork sets the tone, and a series of fine rooms – drawing room, library, dining room and morning room – all share magnificent views across the Tipperary landscape.

There are several churches to choose from in the area, and wedding blessings can be held at Kilshane. The champagne reception is hosted in the Conservatory, followed by dinner in the Orangerie, which has three French doors opening onto a terrace overlooking the lake. This is one of Tipperary most beautful views and a gem for the likes of Video & Photography for your day.

Thank You From Abbey Video Productions – Tipperary

Abbey Video Productions

Would like to thank all of you that called to say hello to our stand at the Hotel Minella wedding  fair Clonmel Co Tipperary yesterday ( Sunday). We had Brides from Tipperary of course, but also from Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Limerick, and as far as Wexford, it was great meeting with them at our stand, and chatting with them about different aspects of their day,  their big concerns included  the price of hiring a videographer for their day, they told me they have got prices in the reign of E1200 !  and I asked them was it Steven Spielberg they priced, even some  got prices from other Tipperary videographers  of  E800 with little to offer in that package, and one guy was offering to do a video slide show to swing it, but then told her it was an “optional extra”  in the next breath ! We gave our prices for our video  packages we offer and we think, and they assured us, that they are very competitive prices, so it was bookings all round 🙂  Looking forward to working with you at your wedding this year or next 🙂
